Golfing in the backyard

With a new blogger comes new areas of focus.

Here is our new little golfer. Emma actually asked to practice golf today. She hit about 5 balls and then was done, but it is a start.

Look at the turn. I told her when she hits it over the fence I will get her new golf clubs.

Here is a picture of our neighbor that the girls call Grammie. She is always ready to give the girls cookies and pop no matter the time. The girls love to go over and "chat" with her on her deck.

New Blogger's First Trial

With my summer off I have been nominated as the new family blogger. The vote was 1 to 1 but Krista told me she had the tie breaking vote. There are no promises that this will compare to the previous blogging queen.

Krista and the girls took some time away from the state golf tournament to go see Uncle Curtis's girlfriend's farm. Emma and Edyn were big fans, but Ellie wasn't so sure of the horse.

It's a success

Emma's first tball game last night went great. We were a little worried (ok Dad was a lot worried) because Emma refused to participate much in practices and said she hated tball. To our surprise Emma went right out there and had no problems. Her biggest worries were what color her team would be and if the kids would like her drinks she brought.

Emma's Fan Club

Our neighbor Tina made it to the first game. Ellie loved playing with the other kids and Edyn managed to make it 10 minutes before having blood and mud all over her.

Dancin' Queens!

You are the dancing queen, young and sweet...

You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life....

See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen.....

The girls had their Spring recital on Saturday and of course, they stole the show :)

They performed 5 dances with 5 different outfits and got to be on the stage 6 times!!

This was so cute...Emma was giving Ellie a "pep talk" (as if she needed one!) But one of the things she said was funny! "Now, Ellie, PLEASE don't sing...we are just supposed to dance, NOT sing!" Emma thought this was necessary because Ellie sang to every song she danced to, which was REALLY fun to watch!!

Their numbers included Itsy Witsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini, Good Ship Lollipop, Me & my Teddy Bear, I'm a Sophisticated Baby & Hula Baby!

They were just SO proud of their performances (and so were Jared & I). It is such a dream come true for me to get to watch them dance their hearts out! (I sure had a lot of fun back stage with hair and make-up as well!

This is how the night went....dance on stage, change costumes, re-apply make-up and spray glitter, touch-up hair, have a snack, play with the other girls and repeat that 6 times throughout a 3 hour period of time....what MORE could a 3 and 5 year old ask for?!?

Grandma Deb, Grandma Jan, cousin Avery, Jennifer, Tina & Cara all came to watch! Thanks for being there for the girls...I know they loved that you were able to come watch them!

photo shoot...

Since we were all getting dressed up for Emma's graduation, I decided to grab some photos of the girls before we went!

They were all in a really great mood, excited for graduation, so I got some pretty cute snapshots!

My neighbor Tina came over and got some shots of our family! She just kept clicking away and we took several pictures to get a few good ones! It was worth it! Oh, the fun times of taking pictures! There is a reason we don't do this often :)

Our little graduate....

Emma has anxiously been awaiting the last day of school, mainly because they got to make Pizza on their last day AND she got to graduate like the big kids...

Tonight they had their "graduation" and it was SO CUTE! They each got to walk across stage in their cap and gown and tell their name, age and what they want to be when they grow up. Emma responded with, "a dancer". And she giggled the whole time she talked into the microphone!

Emma had a lot of fun at preschool and made a lot of friends...she is quite social. And as we were leaving, a little boy came up to her and wanted to make sure he told her "bye". It was precious....later tonight Jared asked her if that was her boyfriend and she just grinned and of course, denied it and said, "don't say that".

We will continue to be amazed at HOW FAST their childhood goes...

...it's SO hard to believe...it seems like yesterday I was taking her to preschool for the first time! Everyone told me it would go fast...and it is true! It does. Almost too fast!

She is so grown up now and SO READY and incredibly excited to go to Kindergarten!

And we are SO PROUD of her!

playing solo...

It must be because Edyn is a third child that she plays so well by herself. On Sunday after we got home from church, Edyn played for a LONG TIME in the garage by herself with her carebear.

It was really cute watching her feed her carebear, take it in and out of the Barbie jeep and rock it to sleep!

She was in her own little world and it was just precious watching her be so nurturing!
