Edyn and Shaving Cream

Edyn was quiet for some time the other day and we knew she was up to something.

my best friend...

On August 10, seven years ago, I got to marry my best friend. And I married up. I had never met and known a guy who could be so honoring and so respectful and just plain FUN all at the same time. We have the happily ever after that I always dreamed I would have, and for that I thank God for choosing Jared to be the one to walk beside me through life.

I love to reflect on one of the happiest days of my life....




...and the fun of our wedding and to reflect on the last seven years and just HOW MUCH God has blessed us! (not to mention the fact that we looked SO young and SO much smaller!!) :)

My anniversary present was a surprise! He took me to the Lawrence Airport and had arranged for a pilot to take us flying! I absolutely LOVE flying and I am fascinated with airplanes and it is my dream to get my pilot license one day. SO....he let me entertain this idea for awhile as we flew over our house and over the beautiful country around where we live.

Our neighbor, Tina(not sure what we would do without her!!) watched the girls for us and they made a sign as we flew over our house. We didn't see the sign, of course, but I got a picture of it when we got home!
I look forward to the many more years going through life together...thank you Jared for being the best husband and father! I love you!

more fun with cousins...

Cousin Alex was in town so we got together for dinner this week at Mike & Sara's...I can't believe he is already looking at colleges...I remember when he was born! And somehow I didn't even get a picture of him...he was dodging the camera, I'm sure!

...we got to watch Owen this week and although the fun was dampered by threats from Mike to not dress Owen up in Girly clothes, we had a great time. The girls LOVED feeding him and chasing him (seems like we did that alot!!) He is busy but such a good baby!

Jared is relieved because Emma found her "sport" (other than dance...I don't think I will ever be able to convince him that dance is a sport!) She LOVES swimming & of course is SO good at it!! I taught her to dive & within a few hours, she looked like a pro (at least that is how we saw it).

 

 

 

 

Welcoming Baby!

4 of the 6 of us that are in lifegroup together...these girls have become so dear to me as we have had the opportunity to "do life together" in the last year! Meghan is getting ready to have baby girl #3 and we had a wonderful time throwing her a diaper/wipe shower and celebrating the upcoming arrival of their precious one! We are praying for you and can't wait to meet her!!

 

 

Another family vacation...

We ventured to St. Louis with the Jackson's the end of July...the girls had a blast hanging with their cousins while exploring the city!!

Believe it or not, the one the right is an ER physician...but we are so thankful for Darren and his expertise after Curtis dropped Ellie on her head and left her with quite the shiner!

Aunt Theresa, the retired elementary teacher showed up with a Pinata and a table FULL of crafts for the kids...which we were THANKFUL! It was perfect.

I'm sure Darren got home with a pocketful of stickers :) (He was stealing them from the kids!)

We had such a wonderful time spending time at Grand Lake in Oklahoma with our family! The girls absolutely LOVED the lake and couldn't believe a boat could be a house too!! Thank you Jim and Barbara for your hospitality!! It was perfect!
