We were able to make it home to my parents this year for the annual Harvest Festival...the girls won $5 each (from Grandma Deb) for being in the parade :) They dressed up in dresses that my mom and aunt wore 50 years ago in a centennial parade (yep, pretty old...dresses that is.) I'm sure you can guess there were a few tears as the girls twirled and danced in these dresses. The theme was "Happy Birthday Kansas...150 years) so we decorated my grandma's old surrey and Emma pedaled them down main street. Of course, they had a blast! My mom and aunt finished off the parade in the surrey by a sign made by the girls :)
